Norma Nascimento
She demonstrated her musical aptitude at the age of six when she received her first instrument: a guitar. It was at this time that she began studying popular and later classical guitar. At 12, she began singing in dance bands as a lead singer, proving that music was truly her destiny. It was also during this time that she began studying theater, participating in several groups until 2001. She studied classical and choral singing with Maria Tereza. She became a professional during her adolescence, with private tutors, developing her reading, perception, and harmony in popular singing, joining several bands in São Paulo, and then performing in nightclubs singing MPB classics. At 14, she collaborated on her neighborhood's community radio station, where she learned to DJ with vinyl records from DJs who remain renowned nationally and internationally, such as DJ Ban, DJ Marky, and DJ Luis Boca, and was a part of Radio and Danceteria Warrior as a radio host and DJ. In 2002, she was selected as one of the 25 finalists, competing against 35,000 applicants, to participate in the program Pop Star, produced by Disney Channel, RGB Entertainment, and the Brazilian television network SBT. In this diverse environment, she participated in several side projects in classic rock, pop, and other styles, which led her to develop musically. With a keen interest in the roots and diversity of Brazilian music, she became a researcher on the subject and graduated as a historian from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. This is how she developed a strong interest in traditional samba, and in 2004, she definitively embarked on a career as a popular singer. She focused her career on classic samba and MPB, disseminating a repertoire composed of the best of Brazilian music with her imposing and unmistakable timbre. Since 2011, she has been involved in organizing the Estaleiro Music and Poetry Festival in Ilhabela, a project that has a tradition of discovering young talent in the city. Since 2014, he has been involved in organizing the Ilhabela School Music Festival, along with its founder, João Santana, and the Ilhabela Municipal Department of Education. This project aims to bring children, adolescents, and young adults into the world of music. He is responsible for the Artistic and Musical Curatorship of Hostel da Vila, the largest and most comprehensive in Ilhabela, according to mainstream media, specialized portals, and awards. He is the lead singer of the most traditional bloco do Banho da Dorotéia in Ilhabela, Tirando a Kraca, and also of the band and bloco Kebramar. His musical partners include Mozaico Instrumental, Vinicius Surian, Marcelo Cotarelli, Fidura Cardial, Digué Pinheiro, Baile Iluminado, Cardiais de Ilhabela, Lele da Viola, Gafieira do Maestro, Bhut Jolokia, Vênus Ataca!, Incorporando Hyldon, Beto di Franco, Mauricio Jara, Pedro Vercellino, Samuel Gustinelli, and others. The singer has performed in Santiago, Chile, Uruguay, Italy, Spain, and Poland, building her artistic personality, marked by Brazilian sounds, retro culture, and powerful interpretations. With all the lessons learned from her professional career since childhood and adolescence, she continues to work as a DJ at Estaleiro Bar, Okeanos, Hostel da Vila, Casa da Simple, various hotels, festivals, and events in Ilhabela. A resident of Ilhabela, Norma Nascimento is the lead singer of the irreverent Ilhabela band Isabel Nunca Veio, which performs unusual reinterpretations of Brazilian and international music. She also focuses on her own repertoire, including new composers and classics of Brazilian music, gaining loyal fans captivated by her powerful voice. She is currently experiencing a musical encounter with various musical partners, where they interpret Brazilian music with contemporary influences, playing on the audience's emotional memories and the element of surprise in their arrangements. She also hosts events, ceremonies, and exclusive shows for renowned hotels and venues in Ilhabela.

July- 2015, his original work was featured in several media outlets such as O Estado de SP and
Folha de SP in July 2015 after his performance at the Vento Independent Music Festival.
"The surprise of the festival was the young singer Norma Nascimento. With easy rhymes and sweet lyrics, she opened the second night of the event, on Friday. The singer's talent was evident from the first few songs.
Influenced by Cartola's poetic richness and Noel Rosa's mischief, the artist blended strength and subtlety in perfect measure. By inviting accordionist Felipe Macarrão onto the stage, Norma managed to attract a large crowd. The artist also joked about the city's pleasant temperature. "We're living summer in the middle of winter," she said before playing an unusual version of "Samba de Verão," a classic by Marcos Valle. She also performed "Encounters and Farewells." DJ | Music Researcher | Producer | Artistic Curator
Norma Nascimento is a DJ, music researcher, producer, and artistic curator with a distinguished presence in the music scenes of Ilhabela and São Paulo. Her work is grounded in in-depth research into the roots of Brazilian music, Afro-Latin rhythms, African beats, jazz, soul, and other expressions of international sonic diversity references that resonate with her experiences in different countries and cultural environments.
Her musical journey began in early childhood at the age of six, when she received her first guitar. She studied both popular and classical guitar, and by the age of twelve, became the lead vocalist in several bands, marking the beginning of her artistic path. During this time, she also studied theater and deepened her knowledge of choral and classical singing, developing musical perception, sight-reading skills, and harmony in popular singing.
At fourteen, she joined a community radio station as a contributor, where she was first introduced to DJing, learning techniques from DJs who would later become renowned in both the national and international scenes. From there, she expanded her work as a radio host at various local stations while continuing to merge music with communication through her sets.
She holds a degree in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo PUC-SP, with a focus on cultural and musical research. In parallel, she enhanced her technical expertise in DJing and mixing, complemented by courses in music production and broadcasting, through which she also qualified as a voice-over artist and narrator.
As a cultural producer, Norma Nascimento is the Artistic Curator of the award-winning Hostel da Vila in Ilhabela, where she consistently curates and produces events, parties, and performances featuring renowned Brazilian artists. Her work spans cultural spaces, festivals, respected venues, and independent projects.
